Ghent University has developed an indoor navigation tool. SoleWay is a location-based indoor navigation service using short text instructions, in the same intuitive way as you would spontaneously explain the way yourself. SoleWay does not use tickets or photos and does not use expensive state-of-the-art technologies. Researchers at the Department of Geography have determined that short text instructions are the best way to explain a route. Indoor navigation is ideal in places where many visitors come together for the first time and need to find their way. Describe routes to all the important places at your event and employees don't have to keep guiding visitors over and over again. These routes can be searched for via the free app or website, can easily be included in all your documents via a URL link and can be used immediately via a QR code. SoleWay indoor navigation starts where the efficiency of GPS navigation ends.
