Senior PHP web developer (freelance, 1 day / week)

Job description:

• Participate in full lifecycle development of our saas platform eventplanner.net, including analysis, technical design, coding, testing, implementation, deployment and support.
• Consistently write, translate, and code according to specifications and following the project code standards.
• Employ best practices for scalable, extensible, secure applications.
• Develop release management strategies and configure automated deployment pipelines for our development, staging and production environments.
• Configure and manage AWS DevOps for source control and automated build, test and deployment.
• Perform & write unit testing and analyse application and database performance for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, resolving performance bottlenecks, and general debugging.
• Testing of tickets.
• Assist with development team code reviews.
• Create technical documentation of implemented tickets.
• Work according to our ISO27001 policies and make security a priority. Assist in security investigations, solve security incidents, …

Profile

Minimum 5 years of experience in Full Stack Web Development.

• You work and live in the European Economic Union (important for data processing in the context of GDPR) and speak fluent English (Dutch is a plus)
• 5+ years of Full Stack Web Development experience
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Strong PHP experience, preferably in high-performance environments
• Additional experience in Javascript, Smarty, ElasticSearch, Redis, Flutter, API’s, SQL, … is a plus.
• Solid understanding of how the web works, and how web applications are built, including performance, seo, usability, … related topics.
• Strong understanding and demonstrated usage of object-oriented design concepts.
• Experience with software versioning and release management.
• At least essential AWS and DevOps experience

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex business requirements and encapsulate business logic/rules into reusable libraries.

Good communication and writing skills. Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
