YouTube Live Streaming Now Available for Small Events

YouTube has been live-streaming major events and festivals such as Tomorrowland and Lowlands for quite some time now. The video site owned by Google, however, is now providing smaller events access to live streaming as well.

Until recently, only events having a video channel with at least 1,000 subscribers had access to live streaming. That requirement has now been lowered to 100 subscribers, provided your channel has a ‘good reputation’.

As per usual, the service will not be rolled out all at once. Rather, over the course of the next several weeks and months, more and more organizers who meet the criteria will begin gaining access to live streaming.
